Awards for Dispensing Equipment and Technology plus Excellence in Exporting
GPD Global was awarded the Governor's Award for Excellence in Exporting by the Govenor of Colorado. The award honors Colorado companies that have made a significant contribution to exporting.
Our company is a leading manufacturer of fluid dispensing systems and other capital equipment for the semiconductor, telecommunications, automotive, aerospace, consumer electronics, and medical device industries. Sven Wedekin, Vice President - General Manager, accepted the award for the category of small-sized manufacturing. "It is an honor to be recognized for our contribution to the international market place," said Wedekin. "GPD goes to great lengths to ensure that our products are accessible to those clients who recognize that we offer the best in PCB assembly and semiconductor packaging equipment."
We've been exporting since 1985 to customers in all parts of the world. The privately owned company exports over 65% of its total sales, its largest growth base represented by Asian customers.
We were awarded a 2011 NPI Award in the category of Dispensing Equipment for its Positive Cavity Displacement (PCD) Pump. The award was presented during the 2011 IPC APEX EXPO. PCD Technology is designed for our platforms and may be used with other robots or tabletop operations with an easy-to-use tabletop controller.
Two 2011 Global Technology Awards
We were awarded two Global Technology Awards in the categories of Adhesives / Coatings / Encapsulants and Dispensing Equipment for its PCD Dispensing on the MAX Series Platform.
PCD Dispensing provides next-generation volumetric dispensing and is compatible with materials used in electronics assembly such as epoxies, thermal greases, underfills, oils, silicones and UV encapsulants, as well as materials outside of the electronics industry. PCD technology is designed for our platforms and may be used with other robots or tabletop operations with an easy-to-use tabletop controller.
Viscous fluids are delivered to the substrate via Luer nozzles and performance excels when using our 'S' Taper tips. The metering technique is not affected by variations in temperature or reservoir pressure, thereby improving day-to-day and start-to-finish process results.
